bacchant (2025)

this short film draws on my decade-long cycle of restricting and binge-eating, adapted from a poem i wrote in the thick of it. the grapefruit ritual became a way to capture both the apollonian drive for control and the dionysian impulse towards excess. i framed the binge as the collision of these two dissonant states: rapturous, self-annihilating, and ultimately bacchanalian. i was fortunate to collaborate closely with composer ben rieke, who wrote and performed the original score.
